The final heat of the Simpson Shield: “My Favourite Trick”

Six heats. One winner. The champion will be announced at the Hull Magicians’ Circle annual dinner.

Join us for the final heat of the Simpson Shield, where competitors each perform their favourite trick. These friendly club competitions give members a chance to try new ideas, develop performance skills, and share creativity in a supportive setting. Expect a varied evening of close-up and parlour magic, personal routines that reveal what inspires each performer, and plenty of opportunity for feedback and discussion.

After the competitive portion, the second half of the evening will be a show-and-tell session. Performers will present the tricks they have just performed, discussing presentation choices, method considerations (as much as they wish to reveal), and practical tips for bringing the routine to life in future performances.

All members are welcome to attend, perform, or support. Bring your props, your questions, and your enthusiasm.
